SONA awarded $1000
Salisbury Oaks Neighborhood Association was awarded $1000 through the 2022 Capacity Building Grant from the Neighborhood Services Department with the City of Des Moines. The purpose of this grant is funding for resources required to uplift neighborhood associations and reach the next level of operational or organizational maturity. To become eligible, the neighborhood must be a recognized neighborhood association and in good standing with the Neighborhood Revitalization Board, incorporated as a nonprofit with the State of Iowa, and have an Employer Identification Number (EIN).
The SONA Board of Directors submitted the grant application in July and was awarded the maximum amount of $1000 in August.
This money will be used to promote neighborhood events, communications, and outreach.
